Changelog

Was sich in jeder Version geändert hat.

v0.9.38

  • Resizable windows — drag the corner of the Settings and Server settings panels to resize them; the size is remembered.
  • Resizable layout — drag the channel sidebar and the member list to your preferred width, kept between sessions.
  • Server list — wider, no longer cuts off long server names, and the OWNER badge always stays visible.
  • Voice bar — the active voice connection now has a clearer, cohesive "connected" look.
  • Fixed: user-bar controls (mic / headset / settings / quit) could get cramped on a narrow sidebar.

v0.9.33

  • Watch Together — fixed black screen when opening the player.
  • Fixed: mic-silent warning could fire repeatedly after briefly going quiet — it now only warns once per session if the mic never produced any signal.
  • Update channel — you can now switch between Stable and Beta in Settings → About to receive pre-release builds.

v0.9.32

  • Watch Together fixed — the feature was silently broken since launch. Voice channels now properly sync play/pause/seek across all participants, and late joiners catch up to the current position automatically.
  • Quit button — a red power button in the user bar fully closes the app without hunting for the tray icon. The X button still minimizes to tray.
  • Fixed: PTT key was firing twice per press due to a duplicate event listener.
  • Memory leaks plugged in the audio engine, settings page, and Watch Together player.

v0.9.31

  • Mic feedback — your own avatar shows a live mic-level ring while you talk, and you get a clear warning if the mic is blocked or isn’t picking up any sound.
  • Member list — the online panel shows everyone’s current voice channel and clears it when they leave; big servers get a collapsible, capped, online-first list.
  • Fixed: the "not verified" banner no longer overlaps the server and online headers.
  • Reliability: more robust signaling plus a batch of browser-client fixes.

v0.9.30

  • Chat search — press Ctrl/Cmd+K to search your loaded history across all channels and DMs at once, then click a result to jump to it. It runs fully locally, so end-to-end encrypted channels are searchable too.
  • Ban management — a new "Bans" tab in server settings lists every banned member with fingerprint and ban date, with one-click unban.
  • Sidebar polish — the voice channel you are connected to now stands out with a live indicator, occupied channels show a member count, and category headers reveal a "+" to add a channel.
  • Screen-capture protection is now off by default (it also blocked your own screenshots) — enable it under Settings → General if you want it.

v0.9.29

  • Unread divider — channels show a "New messages" line where you left off.
  • Screen-capture protection — the app window can no longer be screenshotted or screen-recorded by the OS or other apps (toggle in Settings → General).
  • Tamper-evident audit log — moderation entries are hash-chained and host-signed; the audit view confirms integrity and flags any tampering.
  • AFK channel made easy — a one-click "Create AFK channel" button in server settings.

v0.9.28

  • Verification overhaul — before marking someone verified, you now compare their device fingerprint & safety number (Signal-style, out-of-band), so "verified" is a real identity check rather than just a trust click.
  • Your own safety number is shown under Settings → Security so you can read it out when someone verifies you.
  • Verification presets (Strict / Medium / Off) — set the restriction toggles with one click.
  • Pending verification requests now sit prominently at the top of the Verification tab.

v0.9.27

  • Server list overhaul — pin servers as favorites with a star; the list groups itself into Favorites / My servers / Joined.
  • Reply notifications — when someone replies to your message, you get pinged just like an @mention.
  • Security hardening — explicit permission allowlist (mic, notifications, clipboard only) plus internal cleanup from a full code audit.
  • Groundwork for the upcoming macOS build (native title-bar support).

v0.9.26

  • Read receipts in DMs — see when a message was delivered and read (can be turned off under Settings → General).
  • AFK channel — owners can auto-move members who have gone silent to a designated voice channel.
  • Invite management — named invite links with expiry, usage limits, an auto-assigned role and one-click revoke.
  • In-app changelog — see what changed right inside the app under Settings → About.
  • Fixed: the channel-type dropdown could close mid-selection while creating channels.

v0.9.25

  • Invite sharing — every server invite now has a QR code and a shareable link, plus `nexyn://` links that open Nexyn with the join already filled in.
  • Fixed: the channel list now follows the exact order you configured (categories and channels no longer get reshuffled).
  • Reliability: the OWNER badge self-heals more robustly across edge cases.

v0.9.24

  • Fixed: self-created servers now correctly show the OWNER badge.
  • Fixed: channel categories showed up as text channels — categories now display correctly, and you can drop a voice/text channel into a category right when creating it.
  • Fixed: native dropdown menus now match the dark theme.
  • Reliability: server state self-heals on a rare connect race, so clients stay in sync.

v0.9.23

  • Custom avatars — upload your own image (auto-compressed) instead of picking a preset.
  • Channel categories — group voice & text channels into collapsible, Discord-style sections.
  • Server welcome / rules screen — owners can greet new members with a configurable message.
  • Moderators now see exactly the controls their role allows (granular permission gating).

v0.9.22

  • Audit log: moderation actions (kick, ban, mute, role & channel changes) are now recorded — owners and mods can review them under Server settings → Audit log.

v0.9.21

  • User profile popup: click an avatar to see join date, verified status, roles and current voice channel.
  • Fixed: role badges now show up everywhere (server groups were never sent to clients).

v0.9.20

  • Attach an optional diagnostic log to your feedback / bug reports (opt-in).

v0.9.19

  • In-app feedback & bug reporter — reports go straight to our tracker.
  • Security hardening pass (message-cache cap, inbound flood guard, hardened dev tools).

v0.9.18

  • Browser client foundation — run Nexyn straight in the browser (participant mode).
  • TLS certificate pinning for the relay (fail-closed against MITM).
